Our Story
2016
Apex Digital Dental began as a small company located in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, focused on restoring dentures and fixing single crowns. However, the company's digital approach has enabled it to expand globally, with manufacturing facilities located worldwide.
2019
We decided to diversify into knowledge transfer by offering training and education, such as Exocad training, 3D Printing Training and other digital dentistry related trainings. The company has also become an industrial training center for Dental Technology course students of MAHSA and AIMST University.
2020
When the COVID-19 pandemic arose, we worked in the storm and battled challenges such as government policies and HR matters. The pandemic became an advantage in the digital dental industry. It also created the highest sales of Apex Digital Dental, compared with the previous years.
2021
We voluntarily underwent a Merger & Acquisition (M&A) exercise with MODERN DENTAL HOLDINGS, the world's largest dental laboratory incorporated in Hong Kong and listed on the HKSE. The M&A provided Apex Digital Dental with synergies in technology, resources, and accessibility to raw materials.
2022
We moved to a new office located in Wisma Bentley Music, Mutiara Damansara, comprising 3500 SQFT. The office is equipped with over 10 design stations (CAD), seven milling machines (Wet & Dry), and multiple 3D printing machines, enabling the company to provide an even broader range of digital dental services.
2023
We extended our premises by an additional area of 3000 SQFT. This expansion includes new offices and a Center of Dental Education (CDE), which will serve as a venue for hosting and organizing workshops and training sessions for doctors and dentists.
2024
We have ventured into equipment sales with Dental Nexus, bringing cutting-edge tools to elevate dental practices. With an array of innovative solutions, we're revolutionizing the industry, ensuring top-notch care for patients and efficiency for professionals.

Founder | Head of Country (Malaysia)
Ivan Choe
Ivan holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, which he pursued with a focus on International Business, Trade, and Tax Law at Northumbria University.
Despite his legal background, Mr. Ivan developed a keen interest in implant production technology during his attendance at a dental fair. He subsequently established Apex Digital Dental in 2016, the first fully equipped digital dental laboratory in Malaysia.
As the director of Apex, he is responsible for overseeing prosthetics development, providing training to the technician department, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, Mr. Ivan is also the Exocad trainer for Southeast Asia.
Co-Founder | General Manager
Zoe Chou
Zoe holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration and Management from University of Staffordshire.
As a co-founder of Apex Digital Dental, she serves as the General Manager and oversees various critical aspects of the organization.
She is responsible for developing departmental budgets, establishing policies and procedures for all staff members, managing departmental databases, and performing clerical accounting and general office duties as necessary.
Her comprehensive management skills and attention to detail ensure that Apex Digital Dental maintains its high standards of operation.
